Kiln Salon: In Conversation with Ohio’s Top Winemakers
Sit down with our favorite local producers for a conversation about Ohio’s wine country and what it takes to make a bottle worth pouring.
At this Kiln Salon, we’re pulling back the curtain on some of our favorite wines, and the people who make it. We’ll provide light bites and a cash bar during the discussion. Tickets will also be available at the door. Joining us will be M Cellars, a family-run boutique winery in the Grand River Valley, known for estate-grown wines like their Cabernet Franc and Rkatsiteli, both poured at Kiln. We’re also welcoming Kosicek Vineyards, a third-generation, family-owned vineyard located in Harpersfield, Ohio, whose Riesling and Merlot are staples on our wine list.
Moderating the conversation is Todd Thompson, co-owner of Edgewater Hospitality and a Certified Specialist of Wine. Todd’s passion for wine began when he began working on vineyards as a teenager and continued through his career in hospitality. Todd oversees the wine program at Zhug, Amba, and Kiln.
Expect an honest conversation about what it takes to grow, ferment, and bottle in Northeast Ohio’s wine country—the climate, the choices, the years that go into what ends up in your glass. Light appetizers will be provided, along with a cash bar.
